Job Summary:

Rail-Veyor Technologies Global Inc. is a rapidly expanding Sudbury-based company specializing in developing and installing an innovative material haulage system. We have an immediate opening for the position of Electrician. Reporting to the Technical Vice President, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the design, construction, operation and maintenance of Rail-Veyor systems.

Responsibilities:

• Construct, maintain and support the electrical/automation equipment and components of the Rail-Veyor systems at client operations as well as company demonstration site with minimal supervision.
• Expected to provide guidance and technical expertise to the team on client projects, as well as contributing to organizational improvement on an on-going basis
• Ensure safety, quality and environmental standards are met

Education:

• The ideal candidate will have a Grad 12 Secondary School Graduation Diploma and Journeyman Electrician Certification 442A or 309A licenced to work in Ontario

Experience:

• The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• The successful candidate must be experienced in all aspects of the electrical trade.
• Strong automation/PLC/HMI background would be an asset.
• Strong background in Variable Frequency Drive would be an asset.
• Strong mechanical background would be an asset.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of Ontario Electrical Safety Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and all other applicable legislation required.
• A valid Class G driver’s License required.
