Job Summary:
Rail-Veyor Technologies Global Inc. is a rapidly expanding Sudbury-based company specializing in developing and installing an innovative material haulage system. We have an immediate opening for the position of Construction Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing and coordinating all projects and ensuring project completion is within time, budget and margin requirements while meeting safety, health and environmental standards. The chosen candidate will contribute to company strategies, goals and objectives as a member of the senior team.
Skills and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with other departments to build and deliver the project business case and achieve related results
- Establish project construction systems and reporting requirements to meet client and internal requirements
- Contribute to company strategies, goals and objectives as a member of the senior team
- Embed company culture, values and behaviours in project teams
- Plan, direct and coordinate construction projects and related teams while ensuring projects are completed within specified time, budget and margins
- Responsible for ensuring that safety, health and environmental standards are met throughout projects
- Schedule and coordinate design and procurement inputs during the construction process
- Ensure all company, client, and project policies, procedures, standards, etc., are adhered to. Interpret policies as required
- Contribute to the preparation of contracts and ensure revisions, changes and additions are negotiated to contractual agreements with consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
- Evaluate construction methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans
- Oversee the selection of contractors and general contractors for the completion of a project
- Supervise or monitor the construction leadership both internally and externally
- Determine labor requirements and prepare and execute workforce plan for all projects
- Oversee the performance of construction resources at all levels
- Establish and execute a change management process on all projects
- Responsible for maintaining a positive liaison with the client to ensure timely involvement and approvals are provided throughout the project. Also responsible for maintaining a professional client/company relationship throughout the project
