With less than three tonnes of weight from the rail cars, the Rail-Veyor® system uses a 40 lb rail. With the design of the loading being so light, it removes the need for installing wooden or concrete ties to the rail. A threaded rod is tied into the track every metre to hold the track in place. The rail is easy to dismantle or reconfigure by simply undoing four bolts and lifting up the section of track.
The track can adapt to any surface. The preparation for the track is standard roadbed and the design of the rail cars allows for intuitive movement along the track.
